Alex Schiff’s recent response to anti-gay marriage activists was spot-on (AFA has extreme views on family values, 10/27/2009). Thank you for intelligently pointing out the hypocrisy of the Marriage Protection Amendment and how its misleading wording is contradictory to democratic ideals.

I would also like to point out that Gary Glenn and others with similar views likely have close friends and family who are not yet out of the closet, often due to pressure from our society that opposes deviation from the norm — otherwise known as diversity. If Glenn and friends think that 100 percent of their social networks are a bastion of morality (as they define it), they are mistaken.
