At 5 p.m. Friday, 49,000 tickets had been sold for the Michigan vs. Michigan State hockey game at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing.
The all-time world record hockey attendance of 55,000 was set at a 1957 world championship game in Moscow. Spartan Stadium holds 72,027
