Good Time Charley's customer breaks window

BY DEVON THORSBY

The front window of Good Time Charley’s was broken last night by an unknown customer, according to the bar’s owner Adam Lowenstein.

Ann Arbor Police Department Sgt. Andrew Zazula said a bouncer who works Charley’s reported the incident at 1:55 a.m. Saturday.

Lowenstein said the window was broken from the inside, and when the bouncer went to the window, the suspect left without being noticed. How the suspect broke the window is unknown.

He added that there were no injuries as a result of the broken glass.

Lowenstein said a security camera did not capture the incident well, but a vague description of what happened was compiled by the Ann Arbor Police.

According to Zazula, the police report described the suspect as a white male, possibly Hispanic. The report did not rule out the possibility that the incident was an accident, but the full report from the officer who arrived at the scene to is yet to be filed, Zazula said.

Lowenstein said the window is currently boarded up with plywood to secure the building, but it will be replaced with glass on Monday.

Police have no suspects at this time.
