More than a week after Athletic Director Dave Brandon announced that Tate Forcier was no longer a member of the Michigan football team, the sophomore quarterback confirmed the fact in a series of tweets.
"I really wanted to stay," Forcier tweeted. "I was not giving up on Michigan, but in the end, it was made clear they had given up on me."
After starting every game for Michigan during his freshman year, Forcier lost the starting job to fellow sophomore quarterback Denard Robinson this past season. Now his days in Ann Arbor seem to be numbered.
"I am proud to have been part of Michigan Football history and will always cherish the memory," Forcier tweeted.
