Downtown Event: Winter Warriors!

Downtown businesses are doing all they can to get you out and eating during the winter months, when business is slow. Last week was Restaurant Week (which unfortunately we didn't write about) when all the fancy-schmancy restaurants downtown offer several-course meals on a prix fixe (fixed-price) menu, to encourage you to try them if you otherwise wouldn't. Coming up next is the Winter Warriors event, happening downtown on Saturday February 6 from noon-6pm. Restaurants downtown will be bringing their outdoor furniture out of storage and offering tasty and warming meals and beverages at a discount to enjoy outside--if you can handle it! The premise of the event is that to get the discounts, you have to be a Winter Warrior and brave the cold. After you eat at the restaurants, you'll get a stamp on your receipt that entitles you to even more discounts at smaller places like cafes, dessert places and retailers.
