DAAP

Nicole Campbell
(Incumbent)
Rackham
As a current MSA representative and graduate student in engineering, I am outraged by the racist and sexist environment and institutional practices that women and minority students face every day in engineering. This situation must be changed and improved by exposing the racism and sexism
that minority and women students
face and fighting to defeat MCRI.

Maricruz Lopez
LSA freshman

I began organizing to defend affirmative action in high school. Since I enrolled at the University, I have been disgusted by the level of racism on this campus. I want to lead the campus in a fight against racism and against sexism. DAAP has an established history of leading such struggles. One of the key ways to fight bigotry on campus is to expose the racially targeted fraud committed by MCRI.

Israel Moya
Law School

As a former 6th-grade teacher in Los Angeles and a University of California admissions counselor to high school students, I know that the most important factor to academic achievement is access to tools and resources that can allow for the best academic preparation. As an MSA member, I intend to work to promote a tolerant and diverse campus culture which remains accessible to anyone who wishes to study here.

Liana Mulholland
Art and Design freshman

I want to represent the Art School on MSA and lead the campus in building the new civil rights movement. I see the fight for affirmative action as inseparable from the fight for increased resources for art and art education at every level of this society. Art students' fight for intellectual freedom is inseparable from the fight to maintain equal opportunity programs for women and minorities.

Ben Royal (Incumbent)
Rackham

I want to lead the campus in defending our Supreme Court victory for affirmative action in Grutter v. Bollinger. I have spent my entire college life organizing the campus with DAAP to defend affirmative action. I am committed to building the new civil rights movement to defend affirmative action and integration. I am committed to exposing the racially-targeted voter fraud perpetrated by the MCRI. MSA must play a greater role in this fight.

Rackham student Sarah Barnard and
LSA freshman Dana Lattany did not submit statements.
