Crime Notes: Four sledders stopped cold

WHERE: Nichols Arboretum
WHEN: Wednesday at about 11:15 p.m.
WHAT: Four people were sledding in the Arb after it closed, University Police reported. They were escorted out of the area by police.
Flaming cheese, not too pleased
WHERE: Northwood III Apartments
WHEN: Wednesday at about 3:45 a.m.
WHAT: Burnt macaroni and cheese created smoke, University Police reported. The residents did not report any smoke damage.
Purse plundered
WHERE: Chemistry Building
WHEN: Wednesday at about noon
WHAT: A female student reported that her purse was stolen during the hour she was in the building, University Police reported. There are no suspects.
Vehicle awaits bailout
WHERE: 1111 Palmer Dr.
WHEN: Wednesday at about 6:30 p.m.
WHAT: A vehicle was impounded following a two-car accident because the driver didn’t have proof of insurance, University Police reported. The vehicle has not yet been released.
