Police nab napping man

Where: University Hospital

When: Monday at about 10:25 a.m.

What: A caller reported a man unaffiliated with the University sleeping at a bus stop near the University Hospital, the Department of Public Safety reported. Police arrested him because there was a warrant for his arrest on charges of misdemeanor larceny, trespassing on University grounds and minor in possession of alcohol.

Skateboarders given warnings

Where: Life Sciences Institute Building

When: Monday at about 5 p.m.

What: Two skateboarders were given verbal warnings for violating an ordinance prohibiting skateboarding, DPS reported. Neither of the two skateboarders, both males, were University students. They were cited for skateboarding too close to the entrance of a University building.

Student gets stung, mom calls ambulance

Where: South Quad

When: Monday at about 5:05 p.m.

What: A male student allergic to bee stings was stung at South Quad, DPS reported. The student's mother then called an ambulance, fearing her son would suffer more serious injury.
