Ben Cronin's hip injury could be more serious than previously anticipated

BY JOE STAPLETON

It appears the hip injury that has sidelined redshirt freshman center Ben Cronin this season could be more serious than originally thought.

When asked if his injury could be considered career-threatening Monday afternoon, Michigan coach John Beilein did not rule it out.

“We certainly hope not,” Beilein said. “We’re looking at everything we can do to help him right now.”

The 7-foot Cronin has played in four games this season, scoring three points and grabbing three rebounds.
