'Answer This' plots to take over Ann Arbor this week

BY ANDREW LAPIN

The production and marketing team behind "Answer This!," the Ann Arbor-set feature film made at the University and starring retired English professor Ralph Williams, really want you to know about the movie's Ann Arbor premiere happening this Friday at the Michigan Theater. There are tons of events in the week leading up to the screening.

First, Monday at 7 p.m. is a filmmaker panel discussion at the Ann Arbor District Library. Writer-director and 'U' alum Chris Farah will be in attendance, as well as his brother, producer Mike Farah, who also works at Funny or Die. Then, Wednesday at 7:45 p.m., the Farah brothers and stars from the movie will be back at their previous haunt, the M Den, for a meet and greet.

But since the plot of the film revolves around bar trivia, it's only fitting that the movie's promo team would be hosting an official trivia challenge at Ashley's on Thursday. Presented by Motor City Trivia, the match will pit participants against a team comprised of Williams and co-stars Chris Gorham and Arielle Kebbel. Drinks will be had, and useless knowledge will be flown.

It all leads up to the main event: the Ann Arbor premiere screening at the Michigan Theater, Friday at 7:30 p.m. Reportedly, tickets are going fast. But if they sell out, hit up M-Flicks for a free pass. You'll have to be one of the first 300 people lined up to get in, though.

More info on "Answer This!" and its promo events can be found on the film's official website.
