All available spring commencement tickets claimed

All of the tickets to this Saturday’s spring commencement have been distributed, according to a recent University press release.
The University had initially hoped that tickets to the commencement, which will feature President Barack Obama, would be available for distribution to the general public. A record number of graduates turned out to claim the tickets — the last of which was given away before 3 p.m. today.
"In recent years, average participation in commencement has included 3,500 graduates. This year nearly 8,500 who are eligible to graduate claimed their tickets," said Michelle Pate, director of University and Development Events.
