"University of Michigan men's basketball coach John Beilein will be unable to coach the Wolverines game against Eastern Michigan today due to acute peripheral vertigo stemming from an inner ear infection. U-M physicians will continue to monitor his status on a day-to-day basis before he will be able to return to the team. Associate coach Jerry Dunn will serve as acting head coach in today's game against the Eagles."
UPDATED:
According to Dr. Jeff Mann's website, Beilein's symptoms from acute peripheral vertigo are most likely nausea, vomiting, sweating and pallor. and He'll also experience "dizziness that starts suddenly or gradually, and worsens over a few hours before spontaneously adapting/waning over a time period of 24-48 hours ... the vertigo usually resolves completely over several weeks, although a variable sense of imbalance may persist for months."
