This appears to be a misstatement of fact. Palin (and others) are simply dissing Barry Obama's claim of being ready for the presidency by dint of his organizing tenants to form a group.

Calling anyone who does work in the community a "community organizer" certainly makes it look like an interesting smear by the Right, but in reality, what's happening here is an attempt to re-define a word after it's used.

Someone who delivers hot food to shut-ins might be a community organizer as well, but she's not doing it necessarily _because_ of being a community organizer. More likely, she's doing it because she's doing good work.

By itself, "community organizer" is a meaningless title with completely undefinable objectives. How well did Barry do as a C.O.? Was he simply doing the work of his political betters?

Calling someone who helps the homeless a "community organizer" does not make him one. Putting lipstick on a pig still makes it a pig, I believe Barry said recently.
