Google's 'Green Energy Czar' talks company's projects in campus visit

Google “Green Energy Czar” Bill Weihl gave the keynote address at the University’s 14th annual Energy Fest yesterday.

The lecture, titled “Inventing a Clean Energy Future at Google,” focused primarily on Google’s newly launched green initiatives.

South University post office facing the chopping block

On Oct. 2, a final decision will be made regarding the closure of the post office at 1214 S. University Ave. The location was one of more than 700 post offices nationwide that were proposed to close this fall. The list is now down to approximately 410 stores, and in two weeks the remaining stores’ fates will be determined.

Online Update: Ann Arbor teen attacked in possible hate crime

A 16-year-old Muslim girl required medical attention after being attacked on an Ann Arbor school bus Wednesday afternoon, according to Dawud Walid, the executive director of the Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Kunselman and Anglin win Ann Arbor City Council Primary Elections

Ann Arbor residents from Wards 3 and 5 trekked to the polls Tuesday to elect the Democratic candidates for their respective wards in the primary election. Former City Council member Stephen Kunselman will lead the Democratic Party in Ward 3 and incumbent Mike Anglin will lead the Democratic Party in Ward 5.
