Hear Me Out: Cheer for the rivals
BY MAGGIE CHANG
We in the Big Ten believe that we are a strong conference. But not winning a championship since 2000 — even though we DO have the talent to do so — is a little discouraging.

My Ann Arbor: Michigan's Gentleman
BY ELIANA FENYES
Established in 1995, the University of Michigan’s all male a cappella group The G-men has long been considered one of the best musical groups on campus.
The group is well known for their innovative covers of popular songs and a humorous, confident stage presence, but when musical director Sid Quinsant invited me to watch his men practice, I found out what makes The G-men so special.

My Ann Arbor: Midnight at the Movies
BY ELIANA FENYES
There’s no cure for a broken heart like a night at the movies, and no one does a night at the movies better than Ann Arbor. Year round, when the clock strikes midnight, the State Theater dusts off cult classics like “The Goonies,” “The Evil Dead” and “Anchorman” and opens its doors to an anxiously awaiting public ready to laugh, cry, or scream to the tune of their favorite films.

The Complete Spectrum: How to really "Be Yourself"
BY CHRIS DYER
The stereotypical image of the gay man has long earned disdain and rejection from society at large. His flailing or limp-wristed hand motions, bouncy walk, high voice and generally female-identified demeanor contradict much of what traditionally minded Americans view as proper masculine behavior.

Hear Me Out: Give Twitter a chance
BY MAGGIE CHANG
“It’s useless and stupid.” “It’s a waste of time.” “I already have a Facebook.” “What’s the point?”

Upgrade/Downgrade: College relationships
BY LAURA ARGINTAR
For those who have been hooking up with someone for at least five weekends in a row (which is the “college time” equivalent to three months) the moment which you decide if a one night stand will become a multiple night is fast approaching.

Hear Me Out: Adidas Has Not Destroyed Michigan
BY MAGGIE CHANG
Did you know that Nike and Adidas produce their clothing in the same factory and shirts just come out with different logos on them?

My Ann Arbor: Penny Stamps
BY ELIANA FENYES
I’ve always seen Ann Arbor as a city where new artists can thrive. With so many resources around, from the University of Michigan Museum of Art to music venues like the Blind Pig, Ann Arbor welcomes students to observe and experiment with their own art while taking in the art of others.

The Complete Spectrum: Archie Comics takes a look at gay marriage
BY CHRIS DYER
I am of course referring to Kevin Keller, an Archie Comics character notable for being the first openly gay character inducted into the series.

Hear Me Out: Hockey student section is the best at the 'U'
BY MAGGIE CHANG
Yes, over football. Yes, over basketball. You’re probably about to vehemently defend the grandiose brilliance of the Michigan Football student section and wag your finger at how I am not a “real” Michigan fan by making this absurd comment.

My Ann Arbor
BY ELIANA FENYES
I was ready for Winter break. Everyone was. Last semester’s finals seemed to drain the whole student body of its essence, reminding me of the hot, surly vampires on True Blood. But after I left campus and tried to fall asleep in a bed where I couldn’t hear random sirens or loudly exclaiming twenty-somethings through my window, I felt a slight ache in my stomach. I missed it.
