St. Patrick's Day stabbing

Early Sunday morning at approximately 1:30 a.m., Ann Arbor Police received a report of a stabbing on the 200 block of North Main Street.
There were two parties involved, both who sustained injuries during the incident and were treated, according to police. They did not know each other prior to the incident.

45 years ago this week (March 20, 1968):
The University's Board of Governors of Residence Halls approved the transformation of Mosher-Jordan Residence Hall into a co-ed facility in response to a shortage of men’s living units across campus. A surplus of women’s housing occurred because of the increased amount of women being allowed to live off-campus.

Human Rights Through Education shows support for tuition equality

Three members of the student group Human Rights Through Education hand-delivered a letter to University President Mary Sue Coleman’s office Friday that stated the group’s support for the Coalition for Tuition Equality, which advocates in-state tuition rates for undocumented students who have lived in Michigan for most of their lives.

Carol Jantsch, a 2006 graduate of the School of Music, Theatre & Dance, plays the tuba in the Philadelphia Orchestra, making her the first female to hold a principal tuba chair in a national symphony orchestra. She also teaches music at Yale University.
