1) No. 1 Michigan: The last time the Wolverines were ranked No. 1 in the country, Nov. 30, 1992, Trey Burke was 18 days old. Burke, a leading candidate for National Player of the Year, will lead Michigan into Indiana’s Assembly Hall Saturday night in what will be one of the Big Ten’s most talked-about, hyped-up regular season games in recent memory.

The NHL is back — four words that all hockey fans have been waiting to hear all winter. And with the return of “the show,” comes the return of the Michigan hockey Alumni of the Week blog.
