Regents to vote to approve NHL Winter Classic

The University’s Board of Regents will vote tomorrow to approve the leasing of Michigan Stadium to host the 2013 NHL Winter Classic.

Michigan hockey sweeps Miami (Ohio) with 3-0 shutout

Maybe it was the bye week. Or maybe just a little bit of birthday luck for Chris Brown and Jon Merrill. Regardless, Michigan had no difficulty avenging last November’s sweep by Miami (Oho) to bounce back Friday night, 4-1.

LIVE Blog: Michigan women's basketball looks to sweep Northwestern

The Michigan women's basketball team is at home tonight against Northwestern in their series finale. The last time these two teams met was two weeks ago in Evanston, where the Wolverines won, 58-48. In the Jan. 19 game, both teams opened the game on poor offensive possessions — Michigan shot 27 percent in the first half and the Wildcats turned the ball over 18 times.

Michigan announces 25-man 2012 recruiting class

Fax machines across the country started up at 7 a.m. and were busy all day with recruits sending in their official letters of intent. In Ann Arbor, the Michigan football team's coaching staff fielded the letters of 25 recruits to be part of Team 133 next season.
