Starting tailback Toussaint suspended after DUI

Two days after he was arrested by Saline police on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, redshirt junior running back Fitzgerald Toussaint was suspended indefinitely from the Michigan football team on Monday.

Big Ten, Pac-12 call off agreement

The Big Ten and Pac-12 scheduling agreement that was planned to begin in 2017 was called off on Friday.

Scheduling issues involving a few Pac-12 teams hindered the collaboration, which included a 12-game round-robin football schedule, matchups involving other sports and an agreement between the two conferences’ television networks.

Mikulak joins US gymnastics team for London Games

As the only American in Michigan men’s gymnastics history to make the five-man U.S. Olympic team, Mikulak joins teammate Syque Caesar as the two men’s gymnasts in London. Caesar earned a place on his native Bangladesh squad in May.

Incoming freshman Carrick backs out of commitment

Bakich named Michigan baseball head coach

The Michigan baseball program has found its new head coach after a nationwide search that began with the May 22 announcement stating former coach Rich Maloney and the Wolverines had parted ways.

The athletic department announced Wednesday afternoon that Erik Bakich will be the 19th head coach in program history.

Four-team playoff formally approved by NCAA presidents
