Tempo’s role in Wolverines’ early success

For as explosive and efficient as the Michigan men’s basketball team is on offense, it only operates as the 267th (of 347) fastest in the country. The Wolverines’ tempo is almost always slower than their opponents’.

1) (1-a) No. 1 Indiana (previously: 2), (1-b) No. 3 Michigan (1): Both teams followed impressive early-week wins with what will go down as one the most intriguing games of the season. The Hoosiers get this week’s 1-a spot for their 81-73 win, but the cream and crimson played with a fully healthy roster and in front of perhaps the best home-court advantage in the nation.
