King defeats Dome en route to the quarterfinals

Just as one may have thought Evan King couldn’t accomplish more in his Michigan career, the senior found a way. Friday morning, King became the first Michigan men’s tennis player to advance to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Singles Championships since David Kaas in 1992.
King, the tournaments No. 11 seed, accomplished the milestone with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over No. 30 Andre Dome of Cal Poly.

Michigan releases 2014 conference schedule with a second consecuitve away game at Michigan State

The season will include eight Big Ten games, including a game each against 2014 conference newcomers Maryland and Rutgers. The new conference alignment means the Wolverines will play on the road against Michigan State and Northwestern for the second consecutive year.

Softball to host 12th NCAA Regional in past 13 years

The Wolverines (20-3 Big Ten, 45-11 overall) will face Valparaiso on Friday at 7 pm. Central Michigan and No. 20 California will round out the regional, which utilizes double-elimination format.

Goalie Jared Rutledge plans on returning to Michigan hockey team next year, contradicting report

Wednesday morning, a report published by TheWolverine.com said that Jared Rutledge, a freshman goalie for the Michigan hockey team, will not be returning next season. However, Wednesday afternoon, Rutledge said in a text message to the Daily that he will remain with the team.

Students react on Twitter to general student admission change for football games

Monday the University's Athletic Department announced that student football tickets would be general admission. This change faced harsh criticism from many students on social media especially among upperclassman who wrote they should have seating priority.
