Ora Pescovitz, former executive vice president for medical affairs, has accepted a position with Indiana-based pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly and Co., Crain’s Business reported.
Pescovitz stepped down from her position at the University on June 1 of this year when her initial five year appointment to the position expired, choosing not to seek a second appointment. Dr. Michael Johns, professor of otolaryngology and health policy at Emory University, was appointed as interim executive vice president for medical affairs in March.
According to the report, Pescovitz will start with the company in October as a senior vice president with an emphasis on policy work for top medical issues and will then transition to a different medical senior position within the company.
