AAPD responds to altercation at AEPhi sorority

The Ann Arbor Police Department responded to an altercation at the Alpha Epsilon Phi sorority house on Hill Street early Friday afternoon.

AAPD Sergeant Aimee Metzer said the sorority’s adult adviser, commonly referred to as a house mom, allegedly became involved in an altercation with the house cook.

The house mom had recently been terminated from her position and the incident occurred on her last day at the sorority.

Metzer said the victim did not feel he was in danger and did not feel the incident was serious enough to warrant a report. The house mom left the scene before police arrived around noon, but officers were later able to make contact with her. No legal action will be pursued against the former adult adviser but Metzer said she is forbidden from returning to the property.
