Student accused of indecent exposure on Palmer Field

A male student has been accused of exposing himself to a female student and her friend on Palmer Field early Saturday morning.
A student reported that she and her friend were walking behind Mosher-Jordan Residence Hall on Palmer Field at about 4 a.m. Saturday when a male exposed himself to them. He proceeded to flee the area.
Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Diane Brown said the student reported the incident to her resident adviser, who then reported it to administrators that notified Housing Security, which notified DPS.
In addition to what she had told her RA, the student told DPS she had pepper-sprayed the male suspect’s eyes, Brown said.
While investigating the incident, Brown said DPS investigators determined that a Housing Security Officer had made contact with a male with an irritant liquid in his eyes Saturday morning shortly after the alleged time of the attack. The male had initially said liquid had been thrown at his face, but DPS later identified him as a primary suspect in the indecent exposure incident.
Brown said the 18-year-old student was arrested, processed and released pending authorization of an arrest warrant to charge him with the offense.
