Northwood IV resident reports attempted home invasion
BY ADAM RUBENFIRE
A Northwood Apartments resident told University Police his apartment may have been broken into early this morning.
At about 2:20 a.m., an individual living in the Northwood IV building, on the 1900 block of McIntyre Drive, told police he found his apartment door partially kicked in, according to a Division of Public Safety and Security crime alert.
It does not appear that the perpetrator was able to enter the apartment, the alert said.
Though there is currently no description of a potential suspect or suspects, University Police spokeswoman Diane Brown said the perpetrator could be the student’s wife.
“We don’t have any witnesses to the suspects, but we’re exploring the possibility of this involving family members,” Brown said. “There was a dispute between the two residents earlier in the evening.”
