BY CHANTEL JENNINGS

We're here for your Michigan men's basketball Around the Big Ten Blog, after the Wolverines completed a very successful week. Michigan (9-9 Big Ten, 19-12 overall) was awarded the No. 4 seed for the Big Ten Tournament. The tourney starts this Thursday, but the top five teams receive won't play until Friday.

The Wolverines will face off against the No. 5 seed, Illinois, who beat them 54-52 earlier this season. Beilein said after the MSU game that he was happy the Wolverines would be playing a team that also had an entire week off, rather than a team that had played the night before.

The seeds for the Big Ten Tournament are as follows:
No. 1 Ohio State
No. 2 Purdue
No. 3 Wisconsin
No. 4 Michigan
No. 5 Illinois
No. 6 Penn State
No. 7 Michigan State
No. 8 Northwestern
No. 9 Minnesota
No. 10 Iowa
