LIVE BLOG: 'M' baseball takes on Eastern Michigan in Oestrike Classic finale

YPSILANTI — The Daily is live for the Michigan baseball team’s third game of the Oestrike Classic, played at Oestrike Stadium at Eastern Michigan. The Wolverines (5-12) will take on the host Eagles. Both Michigan and Eastern Michigan have taken their first two games of the competition — and with a couple of similarities.
Division-III Alma College (1-8) took both teams to extra innings before falling by one run. The Eagles (11-6) and Wolverines also both beat Oakland University by one run. The latter Michigan victory came yesterday when redshirt sophomore left hander Bobby Brosnahan shut down the Golden Grizzlies to get his first win of the season — a 2-1 triumph.
Today’s game marks the unofficial championship of the Oestrike Classic and provides an opportunity for Michigan to create its first winning streak of the season. Sophomore Kyle Clark will take the hill for the Wolverines.
