LIVEBLOG: Men's basketball visits Nebraska for first time since 1964

BY DANIEL WASSERMAN

The last time the Michigan men's basketball team played in Lincoln, 1964, the Wolverines were the No. 1 team in the country.

This year's squad, ranked No. 22, will try not have a repeat of fate like the 1964 team, which was upset. Michigan, will however, attempt to continue this year's trend of bouncing back strong from a loss — the Wolverines have yet to lose the next game after each of its seven losses. Michigan (7-4 Big Ten, 17-7 overall) dropped its last game in East Lansing to rival Michigan State, 64-54. Sophomore guard Tim Hardaway Jr. will look to bounce back from one of his worst collegiate outings — he shot just 1-for-10 and was held to four points.

The Cornhuskers, meanwhile, are still looking to find their footing in their first year of Big Ten play. Nebraska (3-8, 11-11) has just one win over a ranked team this year and is sitting at 11th in the conference standings.
