LIVE BLOG: No. 10 Michigan takes on Northern Michigan with CCHA lead in sight

We are LIVE in Marquette at the Berry Events for the opening game of the No. 10 Michigan hockey team's final regular season series. The Wolverines are one point behind No. 8 Notre Dame for the CCHA lead as they take on Northern Michigan.
The Wildcats are fighting for postseason position themselves as they currently sit one point behind Ferris State for the crucial fifth place in the conference. In the opening round of the CCHA playoffs, the top five teams get a first-round bye.
The last time these two teams met it was in Detroit for the CCHA tournament championship. Michigan took that game 2-1 as Shawn Hunwick emerged as a go-to goaltender. You can follow all this year's pivotal action below:
