All eyes are on Crisler Center on Saturday night.
At 9:00 p.m., the No. 17 Michigan men's basketball team welcomes its rivals from down south in No. 6 Ohio State. The ESPN College Gameday crew is in Ann Arbor for the first time ever. The Maize Rage has been ready is 5 o'clock in the morning. And several Wolverine basketball and football recruits will be in the crowd, getting their first taste of the rivalry.
For Michigan coach John Beilein, the significance of this matchup cannot be understated. Rivalry bragging rights aside, the Wolverines will have a tough time overcoming a loss in their pursuit of a Big Ten regular season championship. Currently, Michigan State and Ohio State are tied for first place atop the conference standings, and Michigan trails by one game.
