Finals week calls for a particular type of attention to music: a return to my music library that I've ignored for the majority of the semester and time spent procrastinating, making that perfect study playlist. It's a little conflicting in terms of productivity, but once that playlist has been perfected, my efficiency spikes.
Playlist-making for exams is an art.
Winter exams, specifically, necessitate a mellow sound--slow-moving, yet warm-sounding songs that swim through your ears, but don't detract from your work. Songs, like that scene in High Fidelity, that are "music you can ignore" (but in a good way) :
Full of acoustic singer-songwriter gems, indie rock treasures, and some Beethoven and Chopin for the hell of it, this playlist can soundtrack your study sessions spent cramming.
