Not many honors have passed by Kylee Botterman.
And this week, the graduating senior from the Michigan women's gymnastics team will add to her awards list. Sports Illustrated has highlighted Botterman in the May 9 edition of 'Faces in the Crowd."
Botterman's selection is accompanied by this text: "Botterman, a senior at the University of Michigan, won the NCAA national title in the all-around (39.525) a day after becoming the first Wolverine to win the AAI award as the year's top senior D-I gymnast.
"A nine-time All-America, Botterman was also named Big Ten and Northeast Regional gymnast of the year in leading her team to its first Super Six finals since 2005."
The New Lenox, Ill. native and team captain her senior year carried the Wolverines to Super Six finals before finishing sixth.
Botterman also registered a pair of perfect 10.0 scores on the vault.
The first against her hometown Illinois squad and her next 10.0 was this season in a tri-meet against Stanford and Nebraska:
