Student reports off-campus armed robbery


A student was robbed by a man with a knife off-campus Monday evening, according to a University Police crime alert.

In a report to Ann Arbor Police, the student said that at about about 11:30 p.m. Monday, an unknown man brandished a knife at him near Roosevelt and South Forest Avenues. The suspect proceeded to take the student's wallet, iPhone and cash, and fled in an unknown direction.

The victim was not injured as a result of the robbery.

The suspect is described as a male of unknown race, about 6' or 6'1", wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
