I have always been fascinated by how a space evolves depending on the people who inhabit it. The moment I stepped into Dominick’s, I knew that it was that kind of place. As most students are aware, St. Patrick’s Day seems to be one of the more important holidays on college campuses (Halloween a close second, depending on who you ask). So in order to grasp the spirit of the holiday, I spent my Sunday at 812 Monroe St. with Rich DeVarti, owner and son of Dominick himself, and his staff as they prepared for one of the first Sunday’s they’ve been open in seven years.
