With gift-giving season rapidly approaching, the Utah men’s basketball team was feeling generous on Friday night.

The Runnin’ Utes’ center Jason Washburn, with his four-inch size advantage over Michigan center Jordan Morgan, won the opening tipoff easily but slapped it a tad too hard. The ball sailed out of bounds, and the Wolverines gladly took possession.
That’s how it went for the rest of the contest, as Utah committed 16 turnovers, and Michigan remained undefeated at home in a 75-64 victory.
Sophomore point guard Darius Morris registered his second straight double-double and third of the season, finishing with 19 points and 10 assists. Freshman forward Tim Hardaway Jr. had a big day as well, finishing up the game with 17 points, 13 of which came in the second half.
Michigan’s three centers — redshirt freshmen Jordan Morgan and Blake McLimans and freshman Jon Horford — all played well against Utah. In a breakout performance, Horford tallied a block, a steal and five points, including his first basket from three-point range. Morgan finished up with 11 points, and though McLimans couldn’t find the net, he did register two blocks in the paint.
