The Daily writers are in downtown Detroit to cover the Wolverines' semifinal matchup with the Alaska Nanooks. Michigan brings in the CCHA's top offense at 3.5 goals/game, and are coming off a dominant performance in last weekend's two-game quarterfinal sweep of Western Michigan. Alaska boasts a smothering defense corps and the CCHA Player of the Year, goalie Chad Johnson.
