It’s a beautiful sunny day here at Ray Fisher Stadium for the rubber match of Michigan vs. Illinois. Both teams need this game badly to keep steady with Ohio State who won the first two games of its series this weekend. Travis Smith starts today for the Wolverines, with a 4-3 record on the season. His ERA is less than impressive though at 5.28, but again, the series rests on the shoulders of the mound. Look for Mike Dufek to bounce back from his less than impressive effort last night to stimulate the Michigan offense.
