After nearly three months of searching, University Police have apprehended the Ypsilanti man wanted for larcenies from several campus buildings.

Thomas Jacob Green was arrested Tuesday afternoon without incident while leaving a funeral in Ypsilanti, Department of Public Safety Spokeswoman Diane Brown said yesterday.

Brown said DPS had “received a number of tips” after issuing a reward of up to $500 for any information that led to Green’s arrest, and that someone had tipped them off that he would be attending the funeral.

Shortly after the arrest, University Police executed a search warrant of Green’s residence located in the 400 block of Jefferson Street, Brown said. Officers there found some additional stolen property in his home.

Green reportedly stole a wallet, money and multiple laptops from campus buildings including the Intramural Sports Building, Revelli Hall and the Central Campus Recreation Building.
