Letter to the Editor: Difference of opinion isn’t enough to justify censorship or theft

On Monday, Mar. 2, Students for Life paid for an advertising opportunity on the Diag. We turned our Diag board in and were excited to see it just outside the Engineering Arch by Ulrich's. However, some time between the hours of 8:30 and 10:30 p.m. this past Wednesday, someone had the audacity to remove — and thereby censor — our Diag board.

What gives that person the idea that they have the right to remove our paid advertisement? I am confused as to why someone would take down our Diag board at such a diverse, forward-thinking, open-minded university. Do pro-life students not have the right to free speech, too?

All I want to know is the offender's response to our Diag board's question: "Abortion: Would it bother us more if they used guns?"
