The Michigan football team's newest edition, defensive coordinator Greg Robinson, spoke to members of the media about 15 minutes before the Michigan-Northwestern basketball game tonight.

Yesterday afternoon, he met with the team for the first time and said he was "very impressed" by the team's attitude and attentiveness in a January meeting. Although he's just arrived in Ann Arbor, Robinson, who first met Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez at the Big East coaches' conference during his first yeah at Syracuse, will be leaving next week to go on the recruiting trail.

Robinson also said that since being fired as Syracuse's head coach, he has been contacted about several coaching positions, including some in the National Football League. But Rodriguez is the only coach Robinson called to put his name in for consideration.

Check the Michigan Daily's SportsMonday section for more coverage of the interview.
